Epilepsy ACT
Epilepsy ACT is a not-for-profit, self-help community service organisation formed in 1982 to provide services for people with epilepsy, their families and the community.
Today Epilepsy ACT provides support, reassurance, advocacy, referral and information to people with epilepsy. We promote understanding of epilepsy through education and increased community awareness.
Our Objectives are to connect, support, inform, educate and thrive, to ensure people living with epilepsy have the best outcomes possible.
Epilepsy Action Australia (National)
Established in 1952,
Epilepsy Action Australia is the leading national provider of specialist epilepsy services for people living with epilepsy, their families, healthcare practitioners, and the broader community including support workers and teachers.
Epilepsy Action Australia drives positive change empowered by the collective voice of people living with epilepsy to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Our involvement with research paves the way for new interventions and treatments to improve and save lives.
Epilepsy Action Australia established the National Epilepsy Line in 2019 as the only national epilepsy telehealth support service delivered by Registered Nurses specialising in epilepsy.
It is the front-line service and gateway to our broader range of services. The organisation is primarily funded through donations, fundraising activities, philanthropic grants, and sale of third-party training courses.
The Epilepsy Centre
(SA & NT)
The Epilepsy Centre of SA and NT is a professional non-for-profit organisation committed to providing quality services to people with epilepsy and their families throughout South Australia and the Northern Territory since 1976.
The Epilepsy Centre relies totally on lotteries, donations and events to fund our vital services- who are our Registered Nurses.
The team at The Epilepsy Centre of SA and NT are dedicated to providing high quality information, advice, support, training and practical assistance on behalf of people with epilepsy. We also work continuously to raise awareness of epilepsy in the community to reduce the stigma and create a more welcoming and inclusive society.
Epilepsy Foundation
(VIC & NSW)
The Epilepsy Foundation has been working for more than 60 years to make sure no one living with epilepsy has to go it alone.
This means working to cure epilepsy while ensuring people have access to the best possible support no matter where they live. We seek to achieve this through our Epilepsy Smart Australia program.
We do this by funding research, offering support services and providing education and training to make sure Australia is Epilepsy Smart. Together, we can build a brighter future for people living with epilepsy and their families.
Epilepsy Queensland
For more than 50 years Epilepsy Queensland has been delivering help and hope to people impacted by epilepsy.
There are more than 30,000 Queenslanders living with epilepsy and until the day a cure can be found, our hope for each of them is a life lived well with epilepsy.
We support individuals to live well by providing education and support for people with epilepsy, their family, and carers. We break down barriers to employment and education for people living with epilepsy by delivering industry training and information services. We create a Queensland that is aware of epilepsy and its impacts on daily life, a Queensland that is seizure smart, who can recognise and respond to seizures. At Epilepsy Queensland, we openly share our knowledge, we advocate to those who can influence change and partner with industry leading research and medical institutes to further the advances of epilepsy care in Queensland.
Epilepsy Tasmania
Epilepsy Tasmania is a not-for-profit community organisation that has been improving the quality of life of Tasmanians with epilepsy, and those around them, through education, coordination and support for over 40 years.
Epilepsy Tasmania is committed to bringing epilepsy out of the shadows and breaking down the stigma and discrimination associated with epilepsy in Tasmania. Its vision is to ensure all Tasmanians who have epilepsy have the same opportunities as the broader community. Its statewide services and support include: Epilepsy Friendly Workplace training, Epilepsy Smart School training, Epilepsy Connect peer support, Open Gardens for Epilepsy fundraising and awareness.
