Join footy legends, Wally Lewis and Brett Ratten, and be a Purple Hero by taking on the Purple Muck Challenge!

The Purple Muck Challenge is completed by setting a fundraising target and encouraging as many people as possible to donate to your fundraising page. If you reach your target by Purple Day (26 March), you should pour purple muck over yourself. If your fundraising goal is not reached, you may still choose to do the challenge.

Additionally, when you register for the Purple Muck Challenge, you have the power to nominate up to three people to also take on the challenge. If any of your nominees refuse, they are asked to donate $27 (for the 270,000 living with epilepsy) to the your fundraising page.

Be sure to film your challenge and post photos/videos on your fundraising page and social media to help spread awareness and share the fun with your community. Tag the epilepsy organisation you are supporting and use the hashtags #MakeMarchPurple #PurpleHeroes #PurplePower

Complete the challenge and raise over $1,000 to go in the draw to win an exclusive Purple Hero merch pack and $100 Visa gift card!

About Wally Lewis and Brett Ratten

Wally Lewis is an Australian NRL footy icon and Brett Ratten is an Australia AFL footy legend.

Wally has lived with epilepsy since 2006, when he experienced his first seizure on air. At the time, he struggled with finding information and understanding the condition. Following a successful surgery in 2007, Wally has since been a tireless advocate for people living with epilepsy, and is passionate about increasing awareness and understanding around epilepsy.

Meanwhile, Brett’s daughter, Tilly, was diagnosed with right frontal lobe epilepsy the day he was announced as St Kilda senior coach in 2019. While medication has brought Tilly's seizures under control, Brett and his family know that there are so many other people out there that are still facing challenges associated with epilepsy and want nothing more than to help.

Wally and Brett will both be taking on the Purple Muck Challenge in support of the 270,000 people in Australia living with epilepsy.
