Walk for Epilepsy.
Hero Name: Purple Sparkle.
Purple Power: Spreading purple awareness and raising purple funds.
Hero Mission: This year hubby Jeff and I are joining together to walk 27 kilometres for the 270,000 people living with epilepsy in Australia. We will walk the 27km throughout the month of March. My part will be a 20-25minute walk, indoors or outside. Jeff’s will be his morning walks.
Challenge accepted....why?
Our own journey is through our son. Nathan has had epilepsy for 33 years and still experiences seizures while on medication. My story I will share at a later date on our community page Epilepsy Connect.
We are also doing this for our Epilepsy Connect members, they are awesome and worth it.
Epilepsy Action Australia has been with us during our journey with Nathan, through Nathan’s schooling years, his teen years and now as an adult. He has a beautiful daughter who has witnessed Nathans seizures. Epilepsy Action Australia was able to provide resources to help her understand epilepsy and what to do in an emergency. Never too young to learn and be prepared. She loves her cuddly teddy bear. All this wouldn’t be possible without Epilepsy Action Australia’s wonderful team.
