My story

Sunday 2nd Feb
My name is Melanie,

Let me start by telling you abit about my self I'm 36 a wife and mother of 7 children.
I have had a epilepsy my whole life.
While mine was controlled with medication and I was still living life to it fullest my little sister wasn't so fortunate.

My sister Samantha was born 14 weeks early and grew up with epilepsy even while on her meds she still would have bad seizures. But in saying that it never stopped her from following her dreams

October 7th 2024 I got the worst call anyone could receive
It was my dad he told me Samantha had passed away  at the young age of 30 years old.
This news shock me to my core my beautiful fun loving cheeky sister who drove us all mad was gone. I thought it was a dream.
She was the most amazing aunty to all 9 of her nieces and nephews. And had a heart of gold.

I have since then made it my mission to raise awareness of SUDEP and epilepsy while Sharing our story.
